Got a gorilla bowl and a california roll, felt like i was in hawaii again! Portions were just perfect for the 2 of us. Owner was really nice and welcoming, had the best vibes, would definitely go back again!

I hated poke until trying Makai. I would NEVER. ever, eat poke and now I crave the ahi bowl from here weekly. This is by far the most fresh and delicious poke I have ever tried in my life. I brought my boyfriend here and he agrees that this is the best poke in San Diego

Have you ever had the perfect rice? No? Come here then. Matthew the owner who is from Hawaii spent the last 10 years perfecting his rice. Top that with some of the most deliciously chilled fish and excellent sauce and you have the best poke bowl. A tear was shed it was so good.

Where has this place been all my life?!? Finally got a chance to drop by and try the food here. Absolutely hands down the best poke I've ever had in my life. I've had a lot of poke and this place eeeeeasly takes the top spot.
